2. Prefer primary sources
Manufacturer product pages, support centers, manuals, warranty policies and pricing pages are preferred over copied marketplace descriptions. Material claims are source-dated.
3. Normalize unlike claims
We convert recurring costs into comparable time periods and distinguish maximum battery claims from more realistic published usage ranges where the manufacturer provides them.
4. Separate analysis from testing
A spec-based comparison is not described as hands-on testing. If hands-on work is added later, the page will state the test method and conditions.
5. Correct fast
Pet-tech plans and product specs change frequently. Readers and manufacturers can flag errors through the correction process, and substantive corrections are dated.
